Jared Wiggins Wins 1/8 E-Buggy at Tekno Winter Series Round 1!

Had a great weekend in Omaha at the Tekno RC 1/8 Winter Series Rd1! Alex built an awesome layout to run on, thanks to him for putting on this series every year! I had a solid day of qualifying, taking both E-buggy quals for the overall TQ and 2nd in Nitro Buggy! Going into the mains I knew it would be an awesome race with Seth, Mason and I, and that it was! We battled back and fourth for the first few laps and I was able to come into the lead and stay there for a few minutes until just shorting the triple and crashing through the gap in the track wall. After that I fell back a ways to 3rd, I put my head down and caught up with Mason and after swapping positions a few times got solidly into second. At that point Seth had ran a great race and I was too far back to try and catch up, coming home second! In E-buggy, my EB48 was feeling awesome and I would lead tone to tone with an 11 second victory! Shoutout to all my Sponsors for providing me with the best equipment! Special thanks as well to Kayty for coming with and pitting me all weekend!

Kyle Turner Double Wins at LSR Wicked Weekend!

4WD Modified – TQ and 1st Place
2WD Modified – 1st Place

Last weekend I attended the Wicked Halloween race at LSR Speedway. Ended up taking the TQ in both qualifying rounds of 4wd Mod but in 2wd ended up starting 3rd on the grid. After making some changes to my 2wd, it felt a lot better and when I decided to drive consistently I would end up winning the main event. In the 4wd main event I would also take the main event win leading from start to finish while the field behind me would battle it out. Overall had a really good time seeing everyone again.

Thanks to my parents and sponsors who continue to support me!

Tekin Builds EP.13 – Street Eliminator Tuning and Speed Runs

Finally got some nice weather in this weird fall season we have had so far, so I took the Pro-2 Eliminator outside and grabbed a handful of throttle! I only have about 30 minutes of drive time on this car so far and I still have a lot of tuning to do to make it launch straight and consistent, but the cold temperatures are definitely making my job a lot harder. After some not-so-successful test hits, I made some changes to the suspension and got the car to launch straight, although I don’t think it’s very fast due to wheel spin. I still need a sway bar and I’ll figure something out sooner or later! Looking forward to more tuning in warm weather for sure, but there is at least still something we can do with it until then; top speed.

Tekin Builds EP.11 – Street Eliminator Beginnings

Street Outlaws, Eliminators or No-Prep cars are becoming more and more popular these days so I decided to jump into the unknown and put a car together. Drag racing is one form of RC I really have no experience with, so when I started seeing bodies, wheels and tires coming out for this class of car I knew I needed to build one. With a little research and chatting with some pro racers about these cars, I put a parts list together and started the build.

K-55 1/10 RC Rally Truck – Full Details & Breakdown!

The K-55 was a huge project that we worked on for months. After the first build, the M-55, we were anxious to begin on a new bigger, more feature-packed custom build. Using some of the best parts in the industry, we created a 3D-printed 1/10 Rally Truck like you’d see charging through the deserts in the Dakar Rally or the Russian highlands of the Silk Way Rally. It’s big, it’s bad and it backs up its awesome looks with awesome performance. Just like the full size, it takes a beating and keeps on trucking.
