Finally got some nice weather in this weird fall season we have had so far, so I took the Pro-2 Eliminator outside and grabbed a handful of throttle! I only have about 30 minutes of drive time on this car so far and I still have a lot of tuning to do to make it launch straight and consistent, but the cold temperatures are definitely making my job a lot harder. After some not-so-successful test hits, I made some changes to the suspension and got the car to launch straight, although I don’t think it’s very fast due to wheel spin. I still need a sway bar and I’ll figure something out sooner or later! Looking forward to more tuning in warm weather for sure, but there is at least still something we can do with it until then; top speed.Continue reading
Part two of the Street Eliminator build is all about installing electronics, mounting wheels & tires and painting up the Pro-Line Octane body! Ty is finalizing the build and getting it ready for the first test passes out on the street!Continue reading
Street Outlaws, Eliminators or No-Prep cars are becoming more and more popular these days so I decided to jump into the unknown and put a car together. Drag racing is one form of RC I really have no experience with, so when I started seeing bodies, wheels and tires coming out for this class of car I knew I needed to build one. With a little research and chatting with some pro racers about these cars, I put a parts list together and started the build.Continue reading
It was a great weekend for Tekin Drivers at the 2019 Southern Nationals in West Monroe, LA! Tekin/Serpent Driver Brandon Rose TQ’d the highly competitive E-buggy and claimed the pole position for the main events. The battles were epic and in the end, it would be Tekin/Tekno Driver Joe Bornhorst with the win, Brandon Rose 3rd, Tekin/Agama Driver Ryan Lutz 4th and Tekin/Tekno Driver Jared Wiggins 5th.
All four drivers run the RX8 GEN3 and T8 GEN3 1/8 brushless combo!
The K-55 was a huge project that we worked on for months. After the first build, the M-55, we were anxious to begin on a new bigger, more feature-packed custom build. Using some of the best parts in the industry, we created a 3D-printed 1/10 Rally Truck like you’d see charging through the deserts in the Dakar Rally or the Russian highlands of the Silk Way Rally. It’s big, it’s bad and it backs up its awesome looks with awesome performance. Just like the full size, it takes a beating and keeps on trucking.
Tekin Products Used:
T-440 Steering Servo
T-120 Shift Servo
Printed on a Fusion3 F400-S Printer
Makeshaper ABS Filament

Tekin Teammate Kyle Turner also had a great Round 6 of the JBRL, taking the top qualifier spot in Expert Nitro Buggy and winning the 20-minute main event. Kyle and Adam battled it out in E-buggy as well with Kyle taking the 2nd spot behind Adam.

Round #5 of the Northwest Championship Tour at Skagit River Raceway in Burlington, WA was an amazing event! The 3 day race featured a Joey “The Dirt” Christensen track that provided great racing in all classes. Not even a rain-shortened Friday practice could dampen the excitement of the weekend.
My Tekno EB410 equipped with a T-250 servo, RSX Pro and Gen 3 5.5 motor was perfect. A TQ and win against a very tough field in the Mod 4wd Buggy class!
Had a blast racing the Labor Day Challenge this weekend at Clark RC Park! It’s always a good time there thanks to Tim Clark! We ran a different format than usual with a seeding round and then double mains for all classes. I was able to Top Seed both Nitro Buggy and E-buggy after a close run with Collin! In E-buggy I would take the wins in A1 and A2 after some great racing with Collin until he had an electrical problem taking him out of A2 early. In Nitro Buggy it just wasn’t my weekend for mains, I would run out of gas in A1 and have some issues in A2. I tried my best to come back and would end up 3rd overall. Congrats to Collin and Alex on their finishes! Huge thanks to Travis for all the pit help, and running to get my car when I decided to stay out too long! Thanks to all my Sponsors for their support!
