With scale rigs being as insanely popular as they are now and events like the RECON G6 Challenge and rock racing bringing the crawler scene to a whole new level, the products used have standards to uphold. We have a range of products that fit the needs of most crawlers, so if you're looking at options for your rig you have come to the right place!

TT1158 - RSX

Our flagship controller, the RSX, is ready for just about anything you can throw at it and is perfect for heavier or 2.2 Wraith-sized rigs where extra power is needed. The billet aluminum housing and angled heat sink fins keep the RSX running cool for as long as you are out on the rocks or trail. The HotWire V2.0 and Android Application provide on-the-trail tuning so you can dial in your rig for any terrain. Pair the RSX with a ROC 412 motor for the ultimate crawling/scale equipment package and own the offroad realm.

2015 OFFICIAL RECON G6 ESC

RS GEN2 BRUSHLESS ESC

TT1154 - RS GEN2

The RS GEN2 is a very popular ESC for crawlers and scale truck drivers wanting brushless power. A variety of tuning features and the ability to be programmed with the HotWire V2.0 via Android Application make this small controller very adaptable. It is perfect for most scale rigs, weight depending. A normal 1.9 rig will weigh in the neighborhood of 8lbs ready to rock. Pair it up with our crawling specific ROC 412 brushless motor and hit the trails! If you think your rig will push the limits of the RS GEN2, take a look at the RSX!

G6 SCALE OFF ROAD

ROC 412 4-POLE MOTOR

Redline ROC 412 Brushless Motors

The ROC 412 is based off the T8/PRO4 4-pole design and has been extensively tweaked and tuned to provide excellent low-speed control, axle-snapping torque and tire-tearing wheel speed all in one motor. G6 events are all about finishing and they include long driving stages that require a motor that keeps putting the power down no matter what. The ROC 412 is the perfect scaler motor and requires very little maintenance. Although not waterproof, measures can be taken to protect the sensor board from moisture, as should be done with any electric rig that will see any water.

TT2603 - ROC 412 1200kV - 2-4S LiPo

Choose a motor based on the battery you plan on running. The two most popular setups are the 3100kV on 2S and 3S and 2300kV on 3S.

This rig is an example of a 1.9 scale trail rig. Axial Racing brought scale crawling into the spotlight with the release of their SCX10 kit and they have been the standard for many years now. Rigs like these can be setup in many different ways, but you first need to decide if you want brushed or brushless for a power plant. Both achieve the same goal of making your truck move, however there are pricing and performance differences. A RECON G6 is demanding and will test the limits of your setup and your mechanic skills. Running Tekin equipment will give you one less thing to worry about. After all, finishing is the goal and finishing a G6 is like winning a G6!

TT1451 - HotWire V2.0

We all love tinkering and the HotWire V2.0 gives you the power to adjust settings in your ESC to suit your driving style. A range of adjustments can be found on all Tekin ESCs, some of the important ones like drag brake, current limiter and throttle curves are just a couple every rock crawler driver takes advantage of for that perfect setup. Every truck is different, harness the power of the HotWire V2.0 and there are literally hundreds of adjustments at your finger tips. Not only can the HotWire V2.0 be used on PC, but also on many Android powered devices so you can tune on the trail! GEN2 ESCs come with an adapter harness that can be installed on the ESC and ran to somewhere on the truck accessible while out on the rocks. All it takes is a phone or small tablet in your pocket to have professional adjustability whether on the trail or back at camp.

HotWire for Android is compatible with Android 3.1 and up and works on a range of devices. OTG has been built in, so no need for a special cable! Just grab a data cable that fits your device and adapts to a mini-B USB!

For most drivers, this rig is where it all started. The 2.2 Shaft Comp Crawler was one of the first classes of rock crawling and when Axial released the AX10 Scorpion, it brought competition crawling into the mainstream. Kits meant easier ways for hobbyists to get into the genre of RC and even furthered the building capabilities of builders by offering solid axles, links and transmissions designed for a purpose. Gone were the days of scrapping old TLT trucks for axles and steeling transmissions from other RC vehicles, but builders have still constructed some of the coolest custom rigs ever since the AX10 release and the sport has really exploded world-wide. Still, we owe a lot of that to the original comp-style crawlers and drivers. This class is still popular and is run as 2.2 Sportsman as most Competition Pro crawlers are now motor-on-axle, or MOA. That means two ESCs and two motors per truck, electronic DIG features and much lower center-of-gravity. Crawling will likely never stop evolving!

FXR BRUSHED ESC

TT1091 - FXR

The FXR has been a gem in the crawling community since release. It's incredibly small, packs many tuning features and will run 35T brushed motors and higher on 3S LiPo like a boss*. The FXR is perfect for 2.2 and smaller rigs or builds where space comes at a premium. It is compatible with the HotWire, so you have tons of options for setup and throttle feel. Don't be deceived by brushless' big power, brushed is still a fighting contender in the crawling arena in terms of price and performance. Crawlers demand ultra-smooth throttle curves and precise drag brake; precisely what the FXR delivers in a small, mount-me-anywhere package. Pair the FXR with a T-Series Pro or Heavy Duty brushed motor for the ultimate in brushed crawling gear.

*3S LiPo usage requires an external BEC. The BEC provides power to the receiver and servo and replaces the internal BEC of the FXR. This means more power for steering and less load on the ESC.

BRUSHED CRAWLER MOTORS

T-Series Brushed Motors

Brushed will always have a place in crawling as they are naturally easier to make water resistant, provide excellent throttle and brake resolution and have a more budget-friendly price point for some users, while still having tuning options for every setup. The Tekin T-Series motors were designed and wound specifically for brushed crawler applications and come in 5 different winds. The Pro versions are available in 30T and 40T varieties and are hand-wound for lower resistance and more precise control. The Heavy Duty series are exactly that, strong, torque-filled motors ready to push large 2.2 tires with confidence. They are available in 35T, 45T and 55T varities.
