It&#8217;s called the Epic Freeze for a good reason as it&#8217;s outdoor with the track under a cover and in the mornings it was 20-28 degrees out!  The event was a blast and track was awesome with a very technical layout and high bite on smoothie tires.  Tire of choice for this event were Panther Slicks in clay compound.  TLR&#8217;s Phillip Atondo showed for the event and a lot of fast racers from the Nor-Cal area.  Atondo TQ&#8217;ed and won the first 2 A mains in exp 2wd mod buggy with his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamtekin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tekin<\/a> powered TLR 22 with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamtekin.com\/blmotors.html#redlines\" target=\"_blank\">Redline 8.5<\/a> and also went on to win the first 2 A mains with his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamtekin.com\/rx8.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tekin Rx8<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamtekin.com\/Pro4.html\" target=\"_blank\">Pro 4<\/a> powered Losi Ten-SCTE which were all powered by Xcelorin batteries riding on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.panther-rc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Panther Tires<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-akTYoyyRwo4\/TxWh3ogvjGI\/AAAAAAAABJA\/RvdxE4CPtx4\/s1600\/Epic+Freeze2012.JPG\" imageanchor=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"240\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-akTYoyyRwo4\/TxWh3ogvjGI\/AAAAAAAABJA\/RvdxE4CPtx4\/s320\/Epic+Freeze2012.JPG\" width=\"320\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past weekend B.R.P. in Lakeport CA which is near the Northwestern coastline held their first Annual Epic Freeze.
