T8i for scte

Postby 42steve » Tue Feb 11, 2014 8:32 pm

I have a losi scte with mip kit sc not buggy. It has tekno axles, mip pucks center drive, alum double bearing center mounts. I race on a very fast oval with a rx8 gen2 and pro4 hd 4300 and it's no doubt the car to beat but it's a struggle to keep temps under control at 14/39 Im considering a t8i 2700 and running two 2s packs in series. My assumption is this would be crazy fast , stay cooler , have much longer run times. Car is 6.3 lb with current setup. The 4300 has great power but this oval racing involves a lot of wot running . It runs 145 with 50mm fan but if fan gets ko'ed it soars to 170 at 14/39 . Very happy with this system but always looking to be faster since the rules are run what you brung, just want some input on this before buying not sure if that kv is to high

That would work, I'm currently experimenting with an 1850kV Pro4HD setup on 4S in my MIP SCTE. 2700kV will be very fast and you'll need 50C + batteries to handle the load.
