The 2009 Reedy Race of Champions was hosted once again by Speedworld Hobbies and Raceway owned by Billy Bowerman. This is one of the premier onroad race facilities in on the west coast! Boasting one of the largest permanent onroad tracks in California with a 170ft straight away! You must have the horsepower to compete at this track. The entire Tekin team were testing out some new Beta software and it showed. Matching horsepower with anyone and posting some of the fastest single and total lap times of the event in each class.

Team Driver Kevin Jelich all smiles!
Team Driver Kevin Jelich put his Top Racing Photon chassis in the show along with fellow teammate Jason Moberly rounding out the Invitational Class! Both of these drivers are some of the best mod TC guys on the west coast and they proved it my making the invite class. Great Job!

In 13.5 Derek Stephansen was on a mission. Struggling in qualifying for a clean run he posted some of the fastest overall times of the weekend. Unfortunately not getting any love in the last qualifier (he got broken by a back marker on the straight) he was in the B. Derek is one to watch as his youth , determination and passion for the sport shows on the track.

Along with the team drivers there were many privateers running Tekin. Most got the latest software and setup from Randy Pike. Making sure that not only the team but anyone running Tekin, Randy was there to offer setup help and support to any Tekin user.

The racing was good, clean and most of all fun.
