The 3rd Annual 2008 CKRC RCCrawler Nationals drew in crowds from over 20 states and even brought competitors in from Japan. The total number of entries in the 2.2 Rock Crawling class reached 100 this year making this the largest Rock Crawling event in history!
There where four courses for the day and the top 5 drivers (with the lowest overall score) advanced to the finals where they laid it all out. The last course turned out to be the most difficult resulting in only one driver getting past the 2nd gate (Zach Chateland: Tekin Driver) and taking the overall win and the National title. Drivers Dustin Siegfried and Jake Hallenbeck finished up in 2nd and 3rd place (both using the Tekin FX-R ESC's). Out of the top 5, 3 were running Tekin FX-R ESC's and one competitor (Jake Hallenbeck) was running dual ESC's in his rig, ultimately putting 4 Tekin ESC's in the top spots.
