Kranzel's Rc Raceway is home to a snake powered mamba crowd and the A-Main was no different. It was full of "speedo-green" with a lone visiting Tekin Mini-Rage starting in the 2nd position. The track was traditional Kranzel. Excellent in design and function. It included big air jumps, a grueling rhythm section, a vertical wall climb, a step up jump with plenty of twists and turns. In other words, a tough track, at one of the best 18th scale facilities in the North East. The A-Main included talented and seasoned home town Kranzel Track regulars who dominated the heats along with visitor Andy Castellini hoping for a chance at a win. At the tone, the TQ position went wide leaving a small opening for Andy and his Tekin Mini-Rage Powered Diggity RC18T. The Mini-Rage blasted through the hole and Andy took the lead, never looking back.

The first lap showed a few nervous jitters as he tried to settle in, but once Castellini got into the grove, there was no catching him. The days top qualifier was pushing his RC18 hard, as he tried to catch Castellini, but on the third lap, almost a half track back, he broke, relieving some pressure. Castellini went 13 and a half laps, topping the TQ pace, for the win, almost 2 laps over the closest competitor. The Mini-Rage, 6 cell powered brushless system was on rails, and on the final lap Castellini did a perfect mid air back-flip over the Step-Up Jump with a ten point landing sealing the deal -- SWEAT.

Excellent racing, a great facility, a solid racing program, a lot of talent, and Bling to boot! You should have been there as the green snakes got Caged by the Tekin Mini-Rage for the WIN!
