Alan Tan's Race Report from Singapore:
There was a strong presence of Team Tekin with 4 cars in the A-main touring car class running Tekin RS Pro/Redline 10.5 combos. The race format was 3 heats, 3 finals for the A-mains and 3 heats, 2 finals for the lower mains. Team Xray factory driver, Glenn Phuah was running the RS Pro/Redline combo and was up in 2nd place for the first 2 finals and was in a strong position for a race win. Unfortunately, the last A final saw Glenn struggling to find rear wheel traction. This was most probably due to temperature conditions. Glenn eventually finished in 3rd in the A-main.
RS Pro/Redline 10.5 made the following final positions for the touring car class:
A3 Glenn Phuah
A7 Lorenzo
A8 Peng Yu
A10 Jack Lim
B4 Alan Tan
For the Mini class, we had to run sealed endbell Sport tuned motors. My Xray T1M was powered by Tekin Powercell lipo
packs and the Tekin FX-R Pro esc. Qualifying was generally smooth with no hiccups other than the occasional traction roll for the mini cars. All 3 heats and finals were taken by the Tekin FX-R Pro.
The final resullts acheived were:
A1 and TQ Alan Tan / FX-R Pro / Powercell 3400
A2 Jon Lim / R1 Pro
Best regards,
Alan
